Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo

OSESP is the acronym for Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo. This is a group of the city of São Paulo Orchestra recognized throughout South America. His first concert was in 1954. In the early years, the maestro Souza Lima and the Italian Bruno Roccella drove the Orchestra. After they were succeeded by Eleazer de Carvalho, who was nearly 24 years.

Before he died, Eleazer had left a redesign project of the Orchestra and was counting on the support of the culture Secretary and Governor Mario Covas. The excellence and quality of OSESP contributes to the great demand of symphonic performances. He performs nearly 200 concerts per year.
